2025 Oyster Ball

Mobile County Wildlife and Conservation Association invites you to join us in presenting the Oyster Sampling on Saturday, October 25 from 11am-4pm at The Ice Box Bar and Velvet Pig restaurant.

It began as a simple plan, perhaps 20-25 members gathering to enjoy shucked oysters and a speaker. With very little effort and the support of 32 sponsors, 6 farms served 4,300 oysters to 300 guests (maximum capacity)! It was a great afternoon where everyone involved realized the benefits farmed oysters brings to our community and the health of Mobile Bay.

This year, we are expanding our event with additional farms from Mobile Bay and Mississippi Sound, oysters prepared by area restaurants, and outdoor spacing allowing greater attendance.
